Here are reviews of some items that I purchased recently due to the CODE (may it rest in peace).

KAYA
I posted the other day about not bonding with her. I really like her now and decided to keep her. She really has a beautiful face. Some people have said that she looks sad, but I don't think so at all. I am disappointed to hear that they may be using her mold for Elizabeth, I think that Kaya's face is special and it should she reserved just for her. Overall, the doll is great, but I don't think she is the best doll for young children, maybe 10 and up.

KAYA'S DOLL
In one word, OY! As soon as I opened the package I loved the doll (although I think her face is a bit creepy). The cradle board is so cool. It looks really nice slinged over Kaya's shoulder. Unfortunately I felt the need to remove the doll. BIG mistake! It was near impossible to get the doll back in! In the process one braid came undone and I lost the teeny tiny little piece of "leather" tied at the end. It was so hard to rebraid (because it was so tiny) and I had to use a little rubber band at the end of the braid. I was almost in tears!!! The doll is now named "She Who Has Terrible Hair". Recommended for ages 35 and up.

HAT AND PARFLECHE
The hat is so cool. The quality is great and it looks good with Kaya's Meet dress. The little feathers on it are so cute. The bracelet is a bit of a pain to get on and off, but once you get the hang of it it's ok. The parfleche is ok. It's much bigger than I thought it would be. I don't see much play value in it. I highly recommend this set, but really only for the hat. Did I mention the hat is so cool?

SAMANTHA'S WINTER PARTY (book)
I enjoyed this book. I really didn't like the 1st short story I read (Addy's Little Brother) but this one was much better. I recommend it.

SAMANTHA'S MYSTERY BOOK
I was really looking forward to reading this book. I thought the whole seance thing sounded really cool. Well the book has absolutley nothing to do with seances. I was a little dissapointed in the book. But it was meant for children and I am sure any little girl would enjoy it. I think it's really great that AG is publishing some books about the dolls for slightly older readers.

MOLLY'S MYSTERY BOOK
I think I liked this book a little better than Sam's. I think it is great that they are educating children about the internment camps. I wouldn't hestitate to give this to my own child to read (if I had one).

Well there you go. That was my first time doing reviews. I really enjoy reading other's reviews and I thought I'd contribute.
